Terms and Conditions – Temporary Allotments


Temporary Allotments for gardening are to be granted to any applicants under the following terms and conditions.

The rental for a period of 364 days is £25 per temporary allotment (1st April to 30th March). In order to allow for the expansion of the burial ground, the number of temporary allotments will decrease over a period of time.  Allotments should not be visited on 31st March.

Water may be available for use of allotment holders, but hosepipes and sprinklers etc. may not be used.

All temporary allotment holders must:-

1 One garden shed per plot may be erected at the rear of the plot - maximum
6 feet X 8 feet. No polytunnels allowed.
2 Keep the plot tidy and the pathway clear;
3 Not interfere with any funeral taking place;
4 Respect the rights of visitors to the graves;
5 Not allow illegal crops to be grown;
6 Ensure that no burning is carried out at any time of the day of a funeral;
7 Ensure that dogs do not roam around the area;
8 Not allow any other animal onto the burial ground or temporary allotment;
9 Ensure that the water supply is turned off after use.

I agree to the terms and conditions outlined above. The £25 rental for the period 1st April, 2015 to 30th March, 2016 is enclosed. (Cheques made payable to “Upton & Kexby Burial Authority”)
