Last week was in aid of the Playing Fields, Winners were "The Hooligans" & "The New Four"
£135 was raised, this week is for Cricket Club.
The meeting of the club on Thursday was very interesting. Members heard Cathedral guide, Celia Lord, who gave an illustrated talk
on unusual parts of the Cathedral. She began her talk with the three kings (not the Christmas three) but the three that were responsible
for the building of St. Marys. Celia told members of 3,000 acres of roof and the only part of the building left from the original was the West front.
There is no meeting of the club on May 5th,because of the election, the next is on May 19th
Remember the Church annual meeting, which will be held in Church on April 28th.
The meeting to arrange the birthday celebrations will be held in the Rose and Crown on Tuesday May 3rd.
