MINUTES OF PARISH COUNCIL MEETING ON 14.7.15

MATTERS ARISING FROM PREVIOUS MEETING:
J Alsop raised issues on behalf of a resident.
• Cars that are being sold on the verge of a residence on Padmoor Lane.
• Rubbish left strewn about opposite Fish shop.
In response to a: Councillor Milne said it is already in hand and being dealt with.
It was agreed that a letter be sent to the Fish shop highlighting this problem, asking them to make sure there is no litter about or maybe have their own bin.
D Spittlehouse raised 3 issues.
The hedge down Padmoor lane is encroaching onto the road in places and needs trimming.
Needs checking if it belongs to Highways or landowner.
The trees on the bank outside the council houses need cutting back. Members of the public are complaining.
There has been a car left on the verge down Church Road, it has no tax or MOT since October 2014.
D Spittlehouse agreed to go have a word with the resident first before any more action is taken.
Terry Thurlby wanted to congratulate everyone that decorated the village. “ Well Done “
COUNCILLOR J MILNE also added, “ what a great effort everyone put into it and congratulations all round”.
She also told the meeting that there would be a budgeting meeting on the 15th July.
There are no Council or Planning meetings and said “ she was appalled at getting no plans out.
A Rushton asked if there were any funds available for memorial steps.
Her reply was that there had already been money allocated for 3 different clubs, one being Upton and Kexby Cricket Club.

Pete received an email from J Allen outlining several areas that could be raised and discussed in future meetings and for councillors to give the following some thought before the next meeting.
The areas he sees as possible target areas would be:
Help for the exsisting clubs.
Developing what we have.eg. building on the great work the bloomers are doing.
Community spirit... village events etc.
Use of facebook to promote website. ( Already in place)
Raising the profile of the parish council and engaging villagers.
Maximising use of local assests.
Understand common oppurtunities with Kexby parish council.
Last minutes signed .
Price was agreed by councillors and work has already been started.
All councillors agreed to purchase for £1.
A survey on the church proved suitable for a reciever and a notice has been displayed for 28 days for any objections.
It will be installed sometime in August if no objections.
It was suggested that a public meeting to be held to see what interest there would be.
Date to be arranged.
Road will be closed for an hour during installation on church.
Subscribers would be able to keep exsisting phone number.
Still awaiting the winner of best dressed village.
Still several pot holes not been attended to. Large one down Padmoor lane, top of Avenue B and several on main street.
Flower display for race..£66.17

Grants, in bank £6.180.65. VAT applied for £233.81. Playing field payment £40.00.
Audit passed and to cost £100.00. WLDC for election (uncontested) £124.50
Clerk and deputy Clerk salary.
4 bedroom bungalow between 7 and 11 Lodge lane. Outline planning approved by councillors.
Alteration to cow house into a dormer bungalow. Outline planning approved by councillors.
The structure of exsisting building cannot be changed. e.g. made bigger.
L Alsop gave a report from the last meeting.
They have funds of £10.675.
They are having their own website and will cost £75 for it to be set up with an annual fee.
Thinking of advertising in the gainsborough Life and flyers to help promote bookings.
£134 was made on the table top sale.
A jumble sale, fashion show and a table top sale are planned to be held in September.
A price increase is on the agenda for next years A.G.M.

Has been reported to police, no further information regarding this.
An oak post has been donated by Mr Lunn and D Spittlehouse has volunteered to help repair it with J Alsop.
A Rushton received a phone call from Community Neighbours Organisation.
They want to set up a scheme taking people to doctors, hospital etc.
New homes bonus grant for 6 years has been granted from west Lindsey.
Possible planning permission might be applied for Fracking.
