Village News

FRIENDSHIP CLUB

Last week was the party for "Fred" where all enjoyed Bernie on the organ, playing
a lot of old favorites , this was followed with tea, cakes & scones, provided by "Liz"
Many thank's to all who contributed.

CRICKET CLUB

The annual presentation night was held in the Rose & Crown, with an excellent meal,
thank's to Jenny, Lol & staff.
Awards were presented by President John Thurlby. The main recipients being, Scott Wooley,
Harry Mann, Scott Hutchinson, Toby Roberts, Sue Roberts, Nick Ward-Lowry & John Alsop.
The Chairman would like to thank all who helped make the evening a success.

Church :-  NO Service
Chapel :- Service @ 10-30 with own arrangements.

QUIZ

Last week was in aid of the Christmas market, winners were The Oblong Table,
£83-50 was raised.This week is for John Coupland Hosp.

TRENTSIDE SINGERS

Last week saw a 60,s evening in the Village Hall, which was a sell-out, 
Starting with a meal provide by the audience themselves. The choir were supported be "Degrees of Harmony"
and Terry & Gwenda Cater, plus the "Wish Team"
The evening was enjoyed by all, and with a raffle and after expenses, the magnificent sum of £743-50
was raised to be shared between the Alzhimer's society & L.I.V.E.S.
Jenny Fotheringham and the choir wish to thank everyone who helped make it go so well.
