Village News

Last week was in aid of the Village Hall, winners were the Oblong Table.
£96 was raised, next week is for the Playing Fields.
I know it's a bit early, but the following week (6th. Aug.) will be towards the
Christmas Market, so can all organisations please bring a raffle prize !

Last week was the strawberry tea, where £ 105 was raised,
please note this was the last meeting until Sept. 3rd.
Apologies for the previous report, but Caroline Swindon was from St.Barnabas hospice
& not Macmillan as stated.

Last week saw a very good concert by Don Ayris with songs from the 50s & 60s
and something you don't see very often in Church they were dancing in the aisle !!
It may not be approved by all, but if it helps improve things in the Church does it matter ?

Next Sunday (2nd. Aug)
Church :- Holy Communion @ 9-30
Chapel :- Holy Communion @ 10-30 with Rev. Liz. Childs
