QUIZ

 Last week was for Christian Aid, winners were the "No Hopers"
 £60 was raised, this week is in aid of Macmillan cancer care.

 BOWLS / KURLING

 A joint meal & presentation evening between both clubs was held at
 the Rose & Crown,
 Prizes were presented by Coun. Jessie Millne, as follows:-
 Bowls, Upton Cup winner, John Alsop, second Janet Moden.
 Kexby Trophy, winners, Pete Rushton & Lyn Alsop, second Pat. Fotheringham &
 Stuart Barrow.
 Chairmans Trophy, winner John Alsop, second Janet Moden
 Kurling,
 winner , Sue Farrow , second Lyn Alsop.

 Last weeks speaker was Rev. Sue Bradley, on science is fun.
 Next month is an open meeting, the art of Oriental Dance.
 on Wed. 10th. June

 FRIENDSHIP CLUB

 Last eek was a visit to West Burton power station,
 the next meeting is on Thur. 28th May, speaker to be arranged.
