A very successful evening was held last week, when the market began with Lea School Choir,
singing around the christmas tree. This was followed by the official opening and light switch on by Mr. & Mrs.G.Hobart. There were 11 village organisations with various stalls selling Xmas goods and games.
This was then followed by the quiz, winners being "Young & Good Looking" & "Bernard's Gang"
£154-50 was raised , but the total amount for the evening is not available at the moment. Next weeks quiz is for the Kurling Club.
This weekend there is a Christmas Tree Festival in the Church, from 11-00 am to 4-00 pm.Sat & Sun.
On Sat at 7-30 there is an evening of seasonal music by harpist, Thea Butterworth. Tickets £5 including refreshments from P.C.C.members or on the door.
Sunday morning prayer is at 09-30
