The members of the club have had some very interesting speakers during the past two weeks. S.Simonson gave a talk on the work of First Contact. A service provided by L.C.C. to help people to find the right organisation to advise them on any problems they may have. The previous speaker was Paul Howitt Cowan who gave an illustrated talk on the art in the Old Hall. Next speaker (14th March) will be on Second Edition chocolates.
The next monthly coffee morning will be held on March 13th 10a.m. to noon.
Last month the morning made £65.00 for chapel funds.
The special mothering Sunday services will be at 9.30a.m. in All Saints Church and 10.30a.m. in chapel.
The AGM will take place on Wednesday 20th March in the village hall committee room at 7-30pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, especially if you have any new ideas for classes.
A meeting to discuss if a market will take this year is to be held this Thursday in the Rose and Crown at 8-30pm, would all organisations involved please send a representative.
This will take on Saturday 16th March in the village hall between 1-3pm.
Last week's quiz was for the New Age Kurling club. The winners were The Chiselers and The Quips, £100 was raised, this week's quiz is for the Lymphoma Society.
