NEW AGE KURLING
The club of new age kurling was started only two months ago and is
a great success. Meeting on Tuesday mornings and Friday evenings the club has now a good membership. Despite being formed only a short time 4 teams took part in the 4th annual competition at Gainsborough Leisure Centre on Sunday. All teams did very well,with Sue Farrow and
Don Spittlehouse coming runners up in the final,only narrowly losing to a
couple who are the current world champions. Well done to you all.

The W.I. organised a fashion show in the village hall last week. This was a combined arrangement between Barron Bou of Gainsborough and the W.I. with proceeds being shared between Breast Cancer research and
A large audience enjoyed the fashions, ranging from outdoor wear to evening dresses. The models were all local people and did a wonderful job of displaying the clothes.
The popular Marjorie Clayworth demonstrated her flowers and crafts, which she entitles it 'My way with flowers' Members enjoyed a varied display with a lovely jubilee arrangement, the royal wedding (knitted) a knitted gardener and an olympic knitted doll.
Mrs Doris Jubbs thanked Marjorie for her entertaining talk and demonstration.
The club has organised a trip to Brigg Garden Centre on November
28th, a few seats are left on the bus, anyone interested please contact Mrs Doris Jubbs cost is only £3.00.
Members will sit down to a Christmas lunch during their time at the garden centre.
This Sunday's service is the joint Remembrance service starting at 10-30am.
