CRICKET CLUB BARBEQUE
The annual B.B.Q. took place on Sunday with the weather being kind
to us, medals, caps and photos were presented to the junior players. The winner of the under 11's player of the year was Jimmy Purdy, the under 9's player of the year was Reece Hancock. The trophies were presented by Mrs
Terry Thurlby, wife of the club president.

Winners of the games were as follows :-
bowling for pig - Don Spittlehouse,  
golf putting - Todd Wray
bean bags - Simon Hindley, 
whiskey roll - Paul Mann.

The event realised approx £ £ 750-00
The committee wish to thank the Rose & Crown, the raffle and tombola
sellers, Horsley's, all who made the salads and sweets and all who
donated prizes for the day.

HORTICULTURAL SHOW
The annual show takes place on Sunday 9th' Sept. open to  the public
at 3-00pm. Entries to Mrs J, Spencer or Mr G. Hobart, by Fri. 7th. Sept by
8-00.

QUIZ
Last week's quiz was for LIVES the winners were The Oblong Table
and Mazza's Marvels £150 was raised. This week's quiz is for the Rose
and Crown football club.
