MACMILLAN CANCER CARE
The W.I. are taking part in the Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning on Friday September 28th in the Village Hall from 10a.m. to 12 noon.
On the previous evening, (27th) the quiz night in the Rose and Crown will be for the same charity.

NEW AGE CURLING
This new venture is now up and running in the Village Hall. Tuesday mornings 10a.m to 12noon and Friday evenings 7.30p.m. to 9.30p.m. 
All are very welcome to try out this sport.

METHODIST CHAPEL
The chapel have had a busy time, starting with a coffee morning on Wednesday, which raised £60.00.

The harvest festival service on Sunday morning was a well attended and brilliant service.  This was taken by Dr. Gunson, who used the projector to describe a lot of the service.

On Monday evening a concert was given by the Trentside Singers, who sang songs with a harvest thanksgiving theme. This was followed by the auction of produce and gifts.

CHRISTMAS MARKET
A meeting to discuss this year's market is to be held on Thursday 4th October at the Rose and Crown starting at 8pm. Please could any organisations wanting to take part send a representative, there is also a quiz booked for the market on the same night.

AUCTION
Don't forget the playing fields are holding an auction in the Rose and Crown this Friday 28th starting at 7-30pm. There are many lots so come along and bag yourself a bargain.

QUIZ
Last week's quiz was for the New Age Curling. The winners were The Girly Curlers and the Whatever Team. £115 was raised, this week's quiz is
for Macmillan Cancer Care.
