Over £200.00 was realised for village hall funds at a fashion show at Upton and Kexby Village Hall, when Lincs Fashions gave a demonstration
of their goods.

Michelle and Loretta were the models, showing the garments off to perfection.

Mrs P.Chester, was thanked for her work in arranging this show along
with members of the village hall committee.

The quiz at the Rose and Crown was a joint effort between the Playing
field and village hall committees .
Winners were the Square table and Whatever. £130.00 was raised.
This week's quiz is for Macmillan Cancer Support and organised by
Mrs Pat Williams

The club held the annual cream tea in the Methodist Schoolroom and
made £140.60 for club funds.
At this weeks meeting members were put through their paces by Liz
Clews, keep fit instuctor, who gave instructions on how to keep older
joints moving. This was a very enjoyable afternoon. The club is now
closed for the summer, with the next meeting being an outing to
Downtown on August 9th at 10a.m. A few seats on the bus are still
available, anyone wishing to go, please contact Mrs Doris Jubbs.

The under 9's got back into winning ways when they travelled to
Bracebridge Heath . After being asked to bat first captain Will Lobley
got them off to an excellent start with his young opening partner Leo
Balderson.This was backed up by steady defence from James Lee and Ethan Rosslea. It was left to Jimmy Purdy and Jack Page to push the score
along and with a final swing of the bat from Issac Conway they finished
on 265.Bracebridge lost to many wickets in their innings and only
reached 214.

This Sunday's service is Holy Communion starting at 9-30am
