MOONWALK
The previous weeks quiz was towards money raised by Jayne Mann and Anita Birkett for Breast Cancer they both did the Moonwalk in London where 15,000 people walked 26.2 miles overnight in decorated
Bra's.With the £130 quiz money they have raised £1,000.

JUBILEE PICNICSeveral people from Upton and Kexby also from surrounding villages were invited to the Jubilee picnic at Burleigh House.  All were invited because of service to their communities or fund raising for charity.

A lovely day was had by all with everyone seeing the Queen during the day.

GARDENS OPEN WEEKENDDespite the bad weather on Saturday the weekend was a success.  Sunday saw a lot of people come to the two villages to admire the lovely gardens.  The village hall was open with several stalls and in the Methodist
Schoolroom a quilt and art display was held.

The quilts were absolutely magnificent and the artists were mainly from the art group, which meet on Friday mornings in the chapel schoolroom.

Funds were for LIVES and Gainsborough Heritage centre with stalls for Help the Heroes and St. Barnabas hospice.

The people who had helped in any way met on Monday evening to tour the gardens and have a buffet supper at the Rose and Crown.

ALL SAINTS' CHURCHLook out for the bed push in the two villages on Saturday 30th June in the morning.

WOMENS INSTITUTEThe W.I. did very well in the Co-operative section at the Lincolnshire Show.  They gained 91 and a half markes, only half a point behind the third placed Willingham.  The calendar in this competition is very eye catching.  Also entered in the photography class was Mrs Julie Barrow.

ROAD CLOSEDChurch Road will be closed from July 4th for two days for repair work at the post office corner.

PARISH COUNCILThe council will meet in the Methodist Schoolroom on July 10th. 7p.m. for public followed by council meeting.

QUIZ Last weeks quiz was for West Lindsey Mature Fitness Group. The winners were The Young and Goodlooking Team and Three Ladies and a Bloke. £164 was raised.

This weeks quiz is for the Village Hall.
