VILLAGE HALL
The AGM took place last Thursday, the chair Sue Rockall welcomed everyone to the meeting. The secretary Carol Wells said it had been another successful year with many local organisations using the hall on a regular basis. There had been quite a lot of fundraising including quizzes, a craft fair, Christmas market, jumble sales and the coffee and chat mornings go from strength to strength. The treasurer Pauline Chester said they needed more bookings as they had lost keep fit and Tae Kwando, but they hoped to reduce the running cost by changing their gas and electric supplier. The chair in her report thanked all the committee for their hard work during the year, also the representatives of organisations who attended the meetings. She thanked the people who had helped with fundraising and the parish councils for their donations. She thanked the people who look after the hall especially Ron and Fiona Gore for all their help with the floor. It is hoped that new age curling will be set up shortly.
