FRIENDSHIP CLUB The club members were put through their paces on Thursday
afternoon, when Liz Clews of the West Lindsey Mature Fitness gave a
demonstration of keep fit which was much enjoyed by members with exercise
they could do at home. The club will have a quiz at the Rose and Crown on
March 1st.

WOMENS INSTITUTE After the president Mrs J Anderson gave a report on coming
events in the W.I,members were given a treat when Mr Donald Simpson gave a
talk on the building of Lincoln Cathedral. He spoke or the reason the
cathedral had been built and he took members back to Roman times. He
explained the different styles of the building and how the west end which
was St Marys Church was added on when the west end was built. The
earthquake, wind and fire took their toll on the building over the years.
The spires were blown down and did a lot of damage.As well as talking about
the cathedral he spoke about the history of Lincoln and other buildings in
the city.The president then gave a vote of thanks to Mr Simpson for his
wonderful and instructive talk.

COFFEE MORNING Members of the Methodist Chapel held a succesful coffee
morning on Wednesday which was well attended despite the snowy weather.
Another coffee morning will be held on March 7th at 10-30pm and the Chapel
will hold a special anniversary weekend on 29th April 2012.

QUIZ This weeks quiz is for Cancer Research, any donations of raffle prizes
would be appreciated.
