QUIZ Last weeks quiz was for Marie Curie Nurses. John Alsop was the quiz
master The winners were Mazza's Marvels £100 was raised This weeks quiz is
for the Rose and Crown Football club.

CRICKET CLUB PRESENTATION This year's presentation took place at the Rose
and Crown on Friday evening. Secretary Dave Farrow welcomed everyone before
chairman Jimmy Snee made the presentations to the
winners.The winners were Joe Birkett- young player of the year for evening
league, Will Cawte- young player of the year for Sunday league,Haydn Green-
best batsman for both evening and Sunday league,Todd Wray for best bowler
for Sunday league,Josh Fisher -special junior award for evening league and
Ben Alsop- for best bowler evening league and also player of the year.There
were also awards for Alan Draper and John Alsop for all their hard work over
the year.
The scorer Lauren Draper was thanked and presented with a gift as were the
tea ladies. A special presentation was made to Dave Farrow for all his
secretarial work.

CHRISTMAS MARKET This year's market is to take place in the Rose and Crown
on Thursday 15th Dececember, the bellringers will start the celebrations off
at 6pm, hopefully followed by carols outside the pub before the market opens
at 6-30pm.A letter to Father Christmas has been sent asking him if he could
attend if he is not to busy.
